DIY Kit - FOE Nappies or Covers
Please specify your colour choices from the dropdown boxes above.
In this Kit you will receive enough of everything you need to make approx three pocket nappies (depending on size and pattern used).
* PUL: your choice of colours, see drop down list (50cm x approx 210cm)
* Microfleece or Suedecloth: your choice of colours (150-170 x 50cm)
* FOE (Fold Over Elastic): your choice of colour (5m)
* Hook & Loop: your choice of colour (1m loop, 1m hook)
You will need to supply thread, preferably polyester sewing thread as it will not wick like cotton thread
You do not need an overlocker for this pattern, a sewing machine is fine.
A Free Pattern and directions which can be used with this kit is available to download and print here at The Nappy Network
A pocket nappy needs an absorbent insert to go inside it. Pockets are a great starter nappy as you can just use your old skool flat red stripe nappies folded into a pad for the insert. In fact you can use anything as the insert - a chopped up towel, a tea towel, whatever you have to hand.
A cover goes over another fitted nappy, or a red stripe / prefold nappy, or even over a disposable for extra protection and cuteness!
