Covid-19 FAQ

Are you shipping orders during this time?

At all levels:

Please contact us either by email or phone in the first instance for any queries.

Turning up at our warehouse is unadvised, even when staffed, as we may not be able to fully meet your needs while still keeping everybody safe.

Level 4:

As an essential supplier we are shipping essential orders throughout the level 4 period, however this is on a reduced schedule.

Orders will generally ship on Tuesday mornings.  Any order placed and paid for prior to 6am on Tuesday, will ship that morning. Please remember that at any point the shipping carrier may choose to hold your order if they do not beleive it is essential; if you beleive this has happened, please contact the carrier directly.

There are no pickups available, nor can we accept returns/exchanges.

NZ staff are working from home, and we will only have someone on site at our dispatching warehouse for as long as it takes to ship that week's essential orders.

Level 3:

During the level 3 period, orders should ship daily as per usual, with an 10am daily cutoff. Any order placed and paid for after 10am ships the next business day.

There are no pickups available, but we can accept returns and exchanges.

NZ staff are generally on site at our dispatching warehouse for our usual hours, each business day

Level 1 & 2:

During the level 1 & 2 period, orders should ship daily as per usual, with an 10am daily cutoff. Any order placed and paid for after 10am ships the next business day.

Contactless pickups are available. These are to be prepaid (i.e. no cash on pickup payment) and will be placed outside for collection. We can accept returns and exchanges.

NZ staff are generally on site at our dispatching warehouse for our usual hours, each business day

Is my order essential during level 4?  Will you ship it to me?

At Greenbeans we fall as an essential service - supplying fabrics and snaps for people making reusable/washable facemasks, menstrual products & nappies - that without our ongoing work - it will add more strain on supermarkets supplying disposable goods.

Furthermore our PUL is used to make much needed waterproof gowns - for people working in ICU and other high-risk medical areas, vets, and aged care facilities to name a few - and expect that to be called upon more than it currently is.

We leave it up to the individual making the order, as to whether their order is "essential" during this time.  Use your own conscience, and knowledge of the situation and risks involved, to determine whether you require the goods, and should be using the country's postal resources during this time or not.

We endeavour to ship all orders placed, without judgement, in accordance with our level 4 shipping schedule as detailed above.

The shipping options available at 'my cart' and 'checkout' will detail the day you should expect that order to ship.

We recommend using visa/mastercard payment to prevent potential delays involved with bank transfer payments, if you are close to the cutoff time, especially where public holidays are involved. We cannot accept 'screenshots' as proof of payment.

Please remember that at any point the shipping carrier may choose to hold your order if they do not think it is essential; if you beleive this has happened, please contact the carrier directly.

What are we doing to keep staff and customers safe?

At Greenbeans in NZ, we only have one staff member - Sarah G. She has worked by herself in NZ for 13 odd years , and that is no different.

She can do her work very isolated and all orders are put outside in piles for the couriers to pick up as they are passing on a daily basis - this has always been our practice.

When pickups are enabled, these will be contactless.

Face-to-face interaction with customers will be reduced where possible, we ask that customers please email or call us for any queries, rather than dropping in to our warehouse unannounced. Cash handling with be eliminated.
