If you want to make yourself some reusable breastpads, but aren't sure exactly where to begin, then you've come to the right place!
In this kit you will receive what you need to make 6-8 pairs of pads:
* A very basic pattern and step by step instructions
* PUL - for the waterproof outside layer - in your chosen colour
* Microfleece - for the stay dry inside layer - white
* Bamboo french terry - for the absorbent core layer
You will need to supply sewing thread (preferably polyester sewing thread), pins, scissors and a pen.
This is a very simple pattern to sew, suitable for a beginner sewer with patience. Your pads could be done in an hour or two, and cost you less than $2 a pair!
A regular sewing machine with a straight and a zigzag stitch is sufficient, an overlocker will give a nicer finish but is not necessary; you could also sew these by hand if you wished but it will be difficult to get a needle through all the layers.
