DIY Kit - Cloth Pads
If you want to make yourself some cloth pads, but aren't sure exactly where to begin, then you've come to the right place!
These pads are suitable for day or night if you have 'regular' flow, or during the daytime for 'heavy' flow.
In this kit you will receive what you need to make 8-10 pads:
* A basic pattern and step by step instructions
* PUL - for the waterproof bottom layer
* Suedecloth - for a stay dry top layer (Note that for the BLACK colour option, the black suedecloth MUST BE PREWASHED at least twice before using it)
* Bamboo French Terry - for super absorption
You will need to supply sewing thread (preferably polyester sewing thread), pins, scissors and a pen.
This is a moderate pattern to sew, suitable for an advanced beginner to intermediate sewer. Your pads could be done in an afternoon, and cost you less than $4 each!
A regular sewing machine with a straight and a zigzag stitch is sufficient, an overlocker is not necessary; you could also sew these by hand if you wished but it will be difficult to get a needle through all the layers.
